Hi, my name is Kang Jian Chao. If you¡¯ve been riding a Chang Jiang
750 for many years. You may remember me as having the CJ750 repair
shop behind the Kempinski Hotel in the early 1990s. It was one of
the first motorcycle shops specializing in the repair and maintenance
of Chang Jiang 750 sidecars. Before that I was in the military for
many years in the military where my job was to maintain a fleet
of CJ750 motorcycles. I¡¯ve been riding and working on Chang Jiang
750 sidecars for over 20 years. With a deep passion for these timeless
sidecars Jim Bryant and I opened Jimbo's Classic Sidecars (perviously
known as Frank's Classic Sidecars) in 2005 to pursuit our dream
of restoring and building a perfect Chang Jiang 750 sidecar - one
with a BMW engine, we also customize and repair Chang Jiang 750
sidecars. We also do many types of custom fabrication for these
sidecars to make them look beautiful and more importantly to make
them more reliable.
We lead the sidecar industry with our innovation and high standards
which has become a benchmark for a super Chang Jiang 750 sidecar.
We have our own body shop where we can weld, under coat, powder
coat, paint and polish. We manufacture custom exhaust systems with
crossover pipes, vintage reproduction body parts, and custom castings
such as aluminum hubs and valve covers.
When you order a custom bike from us, we start with vintage 1960s
and 1970s ex-military Chang Jiang 750 sidecar. We strip them down
to bare metal and rebuild them from the frame up. All standard wiring
is tossed and a new wiring harness is custom made and installed.
All the welds are inspected and re-welded if necessary. The engines,
transmissions, and rear drives are all rebuilt using only SKF bearings.
We developed a custom undercoating for the sidecar tub to prevent
rust. All the chrome parts are first stripped, and then re-chromed
properly using copper-nickel-chrome plating.
Order a custom restored Chang Jiang 750 sidecar motorcycle from
us and you will have confidence knowing that everything possible
was done with your bike to make it a reliable bike for the long
haul.
Yours Sincerely,
Kang Jian Qiao
