At Jimbo's Classic Sidecars we have a combined total of over 40 years working on these motorcycles. Some of our bikes have won awards in overseas bike shows. Kang and Jim are the first people to install BMW motors into Chang Jiangs. We are also one of the first to fabricate Earles leading Link forks into the Chang Jiang 750 sidecar. We recently opened a mold to manufacture the cast aluminum M5 wheel hubs, which combined with our aluminum rims and stainless steel spokes greatly enhance the braking ability of the Chang Jiang 750 motorcycle. We also manufacture a leather covered seat based upon the Harley Davidson Panhead seat. It looks beautiful and importantly it is much more comfortable for the long distance rider. ABOUT THE OWNERS:

Jim Bryant (photo right) has been involved with Chang Jiang motorcycles since the mid 1990's when his wife bought him one for his birthday. Jim has built several dozen Chang Jiang 750 sidecars powered by BMW motors. His bikes are easily recognizable as they all have the prewar BMW R71 style fender mounts front and rear. Aside from Jim's passion for the Chang Jiang 750 sidecar motorcycles, Jim used to race IndyCars in the U.S. Jim also brought several U.S. companies to China, the most famous being Subway Sandwiches and Pizza Factory. He has appeared in Fortune magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, as well as other international publications.

Kian Jian Chao (photo left) started working on Chang Jiangs in 1985 in the Peoples Liberation Army. Kang was trained in the maintenance and repair of these motorcycles. Since leaving the army Kang has been working on Chang Jiang sidecars ever since. Kang is one of the most highly respected mechanics in Beijing. Now Kang has partnered with Jim to build the highest quality Chang Jiangs that can be built.
